Scale is a heavy armor unique to Hibernia; the Chain armor of Midgard and Albion is its equivalent in many respects. It will absorb 27% of incoming melee and bow damage.

Classes that can wear Scale armor can also wear Reinforced, Leather and Cloth armor.
There is no higher degree of protection to be had by Hibernian or Midgard players. Only Albion has access to Plate mail armor, usable by Armsman and Paladin.

The resistance of an armor is increasing or decreasing the users resistance when being attacked by bow or melee attacks.
