Nightshade
Nightshade class icon
While not physically as imposing as other assassins of the realms, those which choose to walk down the Way of Stealth and follow the Path of Essence will depend on their quick reactions, stealth, speed, and sharp wit to combat the enemies of the Hibernian Realm. To assist in the endeavor, the Nightshade Elders have developed and passed down a few magical baubles that grow in strength as the Nightshade becomes more acquainted with his repertoire of skills. In addition to the more common ways that the Nightshades uses to dispatch their foes, they freely practice the skill and art to poisoned weaponry and then turn these deadly blades upon their enemies. As their name would imply, there are certain Nightshades who are renowned for the unusual potency of these poisons.

They are the stalkers of the night, that can strike quickly and efficiently from concealment, using poisons and a touch of magic to help fell their opponents.

Tactics[]

PVE[]

RVR[]

Castershade[]

Primary Focus involves use of the Nightshade magic nukes for damaging purposes rather than a more orthodox approach of melee and poisons.

It is imperative you understand the difference as trying to stay in melee combat will get you killed and not yield much in the way of results. If you find yourself in melee start the kiting process immediately by trying to land an evade stun, side stun, garroting or getting a mezz poison off.

Playing a castershade involves building a template around high magic damage and resist piercing. Using cold legendaries as both main and offhand helps augment this as nightshade nukes are cold damage. Keeping a pack full of snare poisons and diseases is essential to kiting. Having the Astral Staff of Swarms on your back is a great 2 hand weapon as it has 4% magic damage, 12 dex, and 5% spell pierce. This is great for easing up the strain on your template. Keep a mezz poison on the staff and use Garrote when you have the staff equiped to land it.

RA Setup should be something involving high Mastery of Magery, Aug Dexterity, Wild Power, Vanish, Long Wind at minimum.

For champ levels train for castable disease and healer resist buffs.

When fighting Targets who also have ranged attacks (Scouts, Hunters, Casters, Thanes) Saves your instas to interupt them.
