Realm: Albion
Expansion: Classic

Summary[]

The druidic sect of the Keltoi live in underground caverns called fogous that are used as their spiritual centers for ceremony, initiation and teaching. Birth and death rituals are conducted here because the fogous are seen as a transitional zone between this world and the next. The whole site is considered a sacred space and its design is not so much to keep invaders out as to keep certain forces in.

Lore[]

The Keltoi are a very spiritual people and often gather in secluded places to live, worship, or practice their spiritualistic arts. These people use the fogou as their spiritual center for ceremony, initiation and teaching. Birth and death rituals are conducted in it as it is seen as a transition zone between this world and the next. Some scholars theorize that it may also be used for initiations involving entombment where the initiates are sealed in for a time to face the underworld in order to over-come fear and so emerge 'reborn'. It is never used for burial. The whole site is considered a sacred space and its design is perhaps not so much to keep invaders out as to keep certain forces in. Those who have journeyed there and have returned claim that it has the feel of a world apart.

In-game Experiences[]

Of particular note is a large room in the dungeon which earned the nickname "100k room". At launch and the SI expansion periods, the room was notable for having having full groups consistently camp the entrance to the room, chain-pulling the mobs found inside, Because of a fast spawn rate, this was at one time considered the fastest way to level from 19-24 before finally going to the Catacombs of Cardova to continue on leveling or to RvR at the popular battleground, Thidranki which had a level 24 cap. The room's nickname referred to the typical amount of XP per kill a person would receive after including the group bonuses, which was around 100,000.
