Dark Age of Camelot Wiki
I get audio feedback on my PC when playing Dark Age of Camelot. I am using a VIA chipset and nVidia graphic card, what could be the problem?

Sound playback on computers using both a VIA chipset and nVidia (as well as some other) video card can sometimes get distorted if there is a heavy amount of graphic processing at the same time that many sounds are playing.  The most often occurs with the combination of a chipset using a high latency value default in its CPU-to-PCI bridge (like VIA MVP3), a soundcard playing back several memory channels through the PCI bus (like the SB Live!) instead of using local memory buffers, and fast video cards which can lock the bus for a long time (like the nVidia GeForce).

Setting the CPU-to-PCI bridge latency timer to 0 can help to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, this is not usually not something you can modify in your BIOS or through drivers, thus a small tool is required for it. You can get the required tool by following the link below.
