Error 308

When trying to patch my Dark Age of Camelot client, I am experiencing the following errors: "Error 308" and "A large number of key files are missing or corrupted". What can I do?

There are a few steps you can perform:

A: Reboot your computer and repeat the patching process again.

B: If you are using Windows 2000 or Windows XP, right click on the camelot.exe icon and select properties. Next click on the compatibility tab and under compatibility set the mode to Windows98/Me

C: Make a copy of camelot.exe in another directory. Reboot into safe mode with command prompt (depending on the system, safe mode can be achieved with F5, F8 or CTRL). Manually rename the original file from camelot.exe to _camelot (using rename). Reboot back into normal mode. Copy the copy of camelot.exe back into the camelot directory. Rename the original file back to camelot.exe. Run the original camelot.exe again.

D: Uninstall and reinstall the game. Please make sure to completely delete the mythic folder after uninstalling as well.

E: If you are using the Nostromo game pad, please make sure to close out the "loadout manager" before patching. After you have downloaded the latest patch you may once again re-open the Nostromo "loadout manager".

F: Go to the Start Menu and Run "chkdsk /f". This will scan the hard drive and look for possible bad sectors that may prevent a patch from applying.

In addition, if you are patching after a fresh install of Trials of Atlantis, Catacombs, or Epic Edition, you can download a portion of the patch from the following page: [1]
